• February 10: Batch & Build: How Ag Retail Can Support Water Quality Effort

    February 10, 2026, 1:30 pm – 5 pm

    Agribusiness Showcase and Conference

    Prairie Meadows, Altoona, Iowa

    Registration and More Info

This workshop (part 1 of 3) will equip ag retail professionals to help address Iowa’s nitrogen challenge by scaling edge-of-field (EOF) practices through batch-and-build delivery models. We’ll start with why nitrogen continues to move off fields—how timing mismatches, soil processes, and drainage systems all contribute to losses—and why in-field management alone isn’t enough to meet water quality goals. Then, we’ll focus on how ag retailers can identify suitable sites, engage farmers, and use batch-and-build approaches to efficiently deliver bioreactors, saturated buffers, and drainage water management practices at scale. Join us to learn how ag retail can streamline deployment, unlock new service opportunities, and drive measurable water quality improvements—while getting a sneak peek of what’s ahead in Part 2 of the series.

The workshop is part of the Agribusiness Showcase & Conference and is free with conference registration. Attendees are encouraged other parts of the conference over February 10 and 11
